Long term traders could take profit when DXY has a clear sign of technical correction. And reopen short position of gold afterwards.

If you haven't open a short position yet. Please time it right. Never open short when it has dropped a lot already, but wait for a pull back to finish, then open short with stop loss above previous high. I use 1 hour chart to detect this.
