Momentum BFThe momentum strategy is simple, if price action is higher than it was for x bars back, and also higher than it was last candle, we have upwards momentum. This momentum will be positive until a candle closes lower than the previous candle and also lower than x bars back - at which point we have downwards momentum.
The concept behind the Momentum Strategy is that when the momentum crosses from negative to positive, we go long and when it crosses from positive to negative we go short. We stay in that position until momentum crosses back the opposite direction.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Go long at the green background on the chart
Go short at the red background on the chart
The yellow lines are where your stop loss should be for longs
The orange lines are where your stop loss should be for shorts
I have included the options in Settings to change the stop loss type between ATR derived and Fixed percentage based. The default stop loss is a fixed 7%.
You can also select if you want only longs, only shorts or both.
The backtest was done with BTCUSD on Coinbase 1D.

Squeeze X BF 🚀Credit to LazyBear and Kiasaki for code used in this indicator.
Squeeze Momentum indicator illustrates when a momentum squeeze is happening by calculating when Bollinger Bands are within a Keltner Channel.
This simple strategy is based on when the momentum is crossing positive or negative.
INSTRUCTIONS
Green = Long
Red = Short
White = No Trade
MACD MOMENTUM STRATEGYHey,
First of I'm not so familiar with Pine Editor, yet.
But a do need some help with a trick thing I*ve been working on.
As you can see I*ve merge the MACD and the MOMENTUM indicators in the same "chart" this have been working pretty well for me as a trading strategy. But now a chat tho create a real strategy with Pine Editor based on the same data. The thing is that I can't seem tho get the MOMENTUM indicator to and the MACD indicator in the same (different) scale in my strategy as when I merge them.
I suspect this got something to do with my chose of source för the MOMENTUM indicator, but I'm not 100.
I would be grateful for all kinds of feedback and tips for a solutions on this.
Thanks.
TrapTradingBuy on dips and sell into rallies. Simple as that.
- Short line (green)
- Base line (white)
- Long line (red)
When the market price touches the white or the red(green) lines, buy(sell) orders are generated.
The exit points are 2 lines above(below) the entries.
Parameters
- Period: It affects the value of Base line and the spacing of each line.
- Multiple: Specify the spacing between each line.
Dynamic Momentum Index (DMI) Backtest This indicator plots Dynamic Momentum Index indicator. The Dynamic Momentum
Index (DMI) was developed by Tushar Chande and Stanley Kroll. The indicator
is covered in detail in their book The New Technical Trader.
The DMI is identical to Welles Wilder`s Relative Strength Index except the
number of periods is variable rather than fixed. The variability of the time
periods used in the DMI is controlled by the recent volatility of prices.
The more volatile the prices, the more sensitive the DMI is to price changes.
In other words, the DMI will use more time periods during quiet markets, and
less during active markets. The maximum time periods the DMI can reach is 30
and the minimum is 3. This calculation method is similar to the Variable
Moving Average, also developed by Tushar Chande.
The advantage of using a variable length time period when calculating the RSI
is that it overcomes the negative effects of smoothing, which often obscure short-term moves.
The volatility index used in controlling the time periods in the DMI is based
on a calculation using a five period standard deviation and a ten period average
of the standard deviation.
You can change long to short in the Input Settings

Unemployment Momentum ModelThis model uses a Smoothed RSI to measure the momentum of the Civilian Unemployment Rate as published by FRED. The behavior of the unemployment rate makes it ideal for applying momentum-based timing techniques because it tends to rise sharply in a short time period and then declines gradually over a longer period. Using other basic momentum-based timing techniques also works well (e.g., EMA crossover, MACD, ROC, etc.)
Please note that you cannot trade the unemployment rate directly. This model is meant to help you understand the state of the current economy in the context of unemployment.
Momentuminator 1.0Here we have a general purpose momentum based long and short flip flop with optional profit target and maximum loss.

SPY Master v1.0This is a simple swing trading algorithm that uses a fast RSI-EMA to trigger buy/cover signals and a slow RSI-EMA to trigger sell/short signals for SPY, an xchange-traded fund for the S&P 500.
The idea behind this strategy follows the premise that most profitable momentum trades usually occur during periods when price is trending up or down. Periods of flat price actions are usually where most unprofitable trades occur. Because we cannot predict exactly when trending periods will occur, the algorithm basically bets money on all trade opportunities during all market conditions. Despite an accuracy rate of only 40%, the algorithm's asymmetric risk/reward profile allows the average winner to be 2x the average loser. The end result is a positive (profitable) net payout.
TRADING RULES:
Buy/Cover = EMA3(RSI2) cross> 50
Sell/Short = EMA5(RSI2) cross< 50
BACKTEST SETTINGS:
- Period = March 2011 - Present
- Initial capital = $10,000
- Dividends excluded
- Trading costs excluded
PERFORMANCE COMPARISON:
There are 657 trades, which means 1,314 orders. Assuming each order costs $2 (what I pay for at Interactive Brokers), total trading costs should be $2,628.
-SPY (buy & hold) = 132.73 ---> 193.22 = +45.57% (dividends excluded)
-SPY Master v1.0 = $12,649 - $2,628 = $10,021 = +100.21%

Forex Master (EUR/USD)ATTENTION:
This is a symmetrical algorithm designed only for trading EUR/USD on the 1h time frame. For other currency pairs and time frames, you need to re-calibrate the RSI-EMAs as well as the profit targets and stop losses.

Simple RSI-MA Algo Beats DOW By Huge Margin Over Past 100 Years!This simple RSI-MA long/short algorithm beats the Dow by a FREAKING HUGE margin over the past century (excluding dividends and trading costs).
The algorithm uses a fast SMA of the RSI as a buy/cover signal and a slow SMA of the RSI as a sell/short signal.
Backtest period = 09/17/1916 - 11/02/2015
Dow = 98 --> 17,830 = +18,094% = 5.38% CAGR
Algorithm = net profit + open P/L = +43,349% = 6.31% CAGR
Notice how the algorithm dodged both the 30s' Great Depression and the 2008 Crisis. Pretty cool huh? :)
ALGORITHM'S FORMULA (use weekly chart):
Buy/Cover = MA10(RSI10) cross> 50
Sell/Short = MA50(RSI10) cross< 50
STRATEGY TESTER'S SETTINGS:
