Candle Range Theory Hawkeye CapitalCandle Range Theory (CRT) – Hawkeye Capital
OVERVIEW
CRT looks for “liquidity sweep and rejection” candles. A bullish CRT forms when price dips below the previous candle’s low and closes back inside the range; a bearish CRT forms when price spikes above the previous high and closes back inside. The script draws the Candle-Range-High (CRH), Candle-Range-Low (CRL) and an optional shaded box between them. Only one active CRT is kept on-screen; when price reaches CRH or CRL the pattern is closed and a new one is awaited.
KEY FEATURES
Bullish and bearish CRT detection with arrow signals (▲ / ▼).
Optional range box, CRH line (resistance) and CRL line (support).
ATR multiplier to ignore small candles.
Higher-Time-Frame (HTF) mode: analyse D1, H4, etc., while trading on a lower chart.
Colour controls for bullish, bearish and box fill.
Six optional filters to improve quality: body-position, reference-candle size, wick-to-ATR, volume confirmation, recent-test lockout, session filter.
Non-repainting: signals confirm on bar close.
USER INPUTS
Display – toggle box, CRH, CRL; set ATR filter.
Colours – pick bullish, bearish and box colours.
Higher Timeframe – enable HTF model and choose the higher period.
Advanced Filters – thresholds for body position, reference candle size, volume, recent tests, time window.
TRADING LOGIC
Bullish entry: arrow ▲ appears. Target = CRH, stop = close below CRL.
Bearish entry: arrow ▼ appears. Target = CRL, stop = close above CRH.
Script auto-extends lines and box until either target or stop is hit.
ALERTS
“Bullish CRT Pattern Detected – Target: CRH, Stop: CRL”
“Bearish CRT Pattern Detected – Target: CRL, Stop: CRH”
Set them to “Once Per Bar Close” for clean notifications.
BEST PRACTICES
Use an ATR filter of 1.0–1.5 to cut noise.
Pair a lower chart with an HTF one or two steps higher (e.g., 5 m chart with 1 h CRT).
Risk 1-2 % per trade; always place stops at the invalidation level.
DISCLAIMER
This script is a technical-analysis aid, not financial advice. Test it thoroughly and manage risk before trading live.
Range
HTF 3rd Weekly High/LowThis indicator plots horizontal lines for the high and low of a selected past weekly candle, allowing traders to visualize higher time frame (HTF) structure on lower time frame charts (e.g., 1H, 4H, etc.).
Features:
Custom Weekly Range Selection: Use the dropdown to choose which weekly candle to reference — from the current week (0) to up to five weeks back.
Clean Horizontal Lines: High and low levels of the selected week are drawn as persistent horizontal lines.
Automatic Text Labels: Labels like Week-3H and Week-3L are shown on the right side of the chart, matching the week selected.
Customization:
Line colors
Line width and style (solid, dotted, dashed)
Text label offset
Automatic Refresh: Levels and labels are redrawn at the start of each new week to stay current with your selection.
Opening Range Breakout (ORB)This is an Opening Range Break indicator. Best if used on a 5 minute chart. It plots the opening 30 minutes high and low of a ticker. (meaning mostly for stocks, options, etfs) and then it alerts a buy signal upon break of opening high and a sell signal upon break of opening low. This is a day trading type of indicator and there is a new opening range everyday.
Session RangeThis Indicator Shows you the high, low and the midpoint for a chosen session and displays them on the chart.
You can make the following inputs:
Timezone: Choose your time zone (in UTC) to display the session correctly
Session Time: Choose the start time and end time of the session you want to have displayed.
Show Session Midpoint: Choose between displaying or not displaying the midpoint of the sessions high and low.
Extend Session Values until next Session: Choose this option if you want to display the sessions range until the next session starts. The midpoint will only be displayed if you chose "yes" at "Show Session Midpoint?"
Maximum number of bars between sessions: This is needed to ensure the correct display of the extended lines. Also this will affect the running speed of the script.
Limitations:
A higher number between bars slows down the script. What does that mean practically? If you choose to not have the sessions values displayed until the next session you can set this to 1 and the script will run as fast as it can. If you choose to display all the values until the next session you have to make sure that the number you put in is higher than the number of bars between the sessions. Otherwise the lines will be displayed backwards. As this affects the calculation speed you want to keep the number as low as possible. The default setting is 300 which is fine for 5 minute charts. On a 1 minute chart you will have to use something around 5000 depending on how long your session is.
Also the script will only run correctly if the start time of your session can be divided by the timeframe you are using. Example: you can use a 1min, 3min, 5min, or 15min chart on all sessions as they can only start every 15 minutes and 15 can be divided by all these numbers. A 2 minute timeframe will only work on sessions that start at minute 00 or 30, as 15 and 45 can not be divided by 2.
Customization and Alerts:
You can change the color of the sessions high, low, midpoint and background filling. The line style can also be changed but this might lead to a faulty display of the session.
The style of the extension lines can not be altered.
Alerts can be added for crossing the sessions high or low (after the session is finished). You do not have to display the extension lines in order to set an alert.

15Min Opening Range & Midline (UTC+2) This TradingView script draws the 15-minute Opening Range of the day based on a user-defined start time and plots the high, low, and midline of this range. It works by capturing the high and low of the first 15 minutes of the session, and then extending them for the rest of the trading day. The midline is calculated as the average of the high and low values.
Key Features:
User-configurable start time: Define the hour and minute for when the opening range should start based on your local time zone.
Line customization: Choose the color and line style (solid, dashed, dotted) for the high, low, and midline.
Easy-to-read visual representation: The high and low lines extend across the chart from the range start, with the midline placed in the center.
Dynamic updates: The indicator resets at the start of each new trading day and updates the opening range lines accordingly.
Perfect for:
Traders looking to monitor the initial market range during the first 15 minutes of trading.
Identifying key support and resistance levels based on early price action.
Providing a midline to assess market bias and potential breakouts.
Notes:
The indicator calculates everything based on the local time zone you define and automatically adjusts to your desired start time.
It will not redraw lines; once drawn, they remain on the chart until the next session.

-“LQ” markers appear when price sweeps the swing levels
It’s a must-have for ICT traders, smart money traders, or anyone who wants to track key liquidity levels without clutter.
Simple and effective tool for marking important ranges and tracking when liquidity is taken. No complex settings - just select your range and monitor the levels.
Dynamic Range Filter with Trend Candlesticks (Zeiierman)█ Overview
Dynamic Range Filter with Trend Candlesticks (Zeiierman) is a volatility-responsive trend engine that adapts in real-time to market structure, offering a clean and intelligent visualization of directional bias. It blends dynamic range calculation with customizable smoothing techniques and layered trend confirmation logic, making it ideal for traders who rely on clear trend direction, structural range analysis, and momentum-based candlestick signals.
By measuring scaled volatility over configurable lengths and applying advanced moving average techniques, this indicator filters out market noise while preserving true directional intent. Complementing this, a dual-trend system (range-based and candle-based) enhances clarity and responsiveness, particularly during shifting market conditions.
█ How It Works
⚪ Scaled Volatility Band Calculation
At the core lies a volatility engine that constructs adaptive range bands around price using smoothed high/low calculations. The bands are dynamically adjusted using:
High/Low Smoothing – Applies a moving average to the raw high and low data before calculating the range.
Scaled Range Volatility – A 2.618 multiplier scales the distance between smoothed highs and lows, forming a responsive volatility envelope.
Band Multiplier – Controls how wide the upper/lower range bands extend from the mean.
This filtering process minimizes false signals and highlights only structurally meaningful moves.
⚪ Multi-Type Smoothing Engine
Users can choose from a wide array of smoothing algorithms for trend construction, including:
HMA (default), SMA, EMA, RMA
KAMA – Adapts to market volatility using efficiency ratios.
VIDYA – Momentum-sensitive smoothing using CMO logic.
FRAMA – Dynamically adjusts to fractal dimension in price.
Super Smoother – Ideal for eliminating aliasing in range signals.
This provides the trader with fine-tuned control over reactivity vs. smoothness.
⚪ Trend Detection (Dual Engine)
The indicator includes two independent trend tracking systems:
Main Trend Filter – Based on adaptive volatility band shifts.
Candle Trend Filter – A second-tier confirmation using smoothed candle data, ideal for directional candles and confirmation entries.
█ How to Use
⚪ Trend Confirmation
Use the Trend Line and colored candlesticks for high-probability entries in the trend direction. The more trend layers that align, the higher the confidence.
⚪ Reversal Zones
When the price reaches the outer bands or fails to break them, look for candle color shifts or a crossover in the range to anticipate possible reversals or consolidations.
█ Settings
Scaled Volatility Length – Controls the lookback used to stabilize the base volatility band.
MA Type & Length – Choose and fine-tune the smoothing method (HMA, EMA, KAMA, etc.)
High/Low Smoother – Pre-smoothing for structural high/low banding.
Band Multiplier – Adjusts the width of the dynamic bands.
Trend Length (Candles) – Length used for candle-based trend confirmation.

Range Progress TrackerRANGE PROGRESS TRACKER(RPT)
PURPOSE
This indicator helps traders visually and statistically understand how much of the typical price range (measured by ATR) has already been covered in the current period (Daily, Weekly, or Monthly). It includes key features to assist in trend exhaustion analysis, reversal spotting, and smart alerting.
CORE LOGIC
The indicator calculates the current range of the selected time frame (e.g., Daily), which is:
Current Range = High - Low
This is then compared to the ATR (Average True Range) of the same time frame, which represents the average price movement range over a defined period (default is 14).
The comparison is expressed as a percentage, calculated with this formula:
Range % = (Current Range / ATR) × 100
This percentage shows how much of the “average expected move” has already occurred.
WHY IT MATTERS
When the current range approaches or exceeds 100% of ATR, it means the price has already moved as much as it typically does in a full session.
This indicates a lower probability of continuing the trend with a new high or low, especially when the price is already near the session's high or low.
This setup can signal:
A possible consolidation phase
A reversal in trend
The market entering a corrective phase
SMART ALERTS
The indicator can alert you when:
A new high is made after the range percentage exceeds your set threshold.
A new low is made after the range percentage exceeds your set threshold.
You can adjust the Range % Alert Threshold in the settings to tailor it to your trading style.
Range Filter Strategy with ATR TP/SLHow This Strategy Works:
Range Filter:
Calculates a smoothed average (SMA) of price
Creates upper and lower bands based on standard deviation
When price crosses above upper band, it signals a potential uptrend
When price crosses below lower band, it signals a potential downtrend
ATR-Based Risk Management:
Uses Average True Range (ATR) to set dynamic take profit and stop loss levels
Take profit is set at entry price + (ATR × multiplier) for long positions
Stop loss is set at entry price - (ATR × multiplier) for long positions
The opposite applies for short positions
Input Parameters:
Adjustable range filter length and multiplier
Customizable ATR length and TP/SL multipliers
All parameters can be optimized in TradingView's strategy tester
You can adjust the input parameters to fit your trading style and the specific market you're trading. The ATR-based exits help adapt to current market volatility.
Daily Price RangeThe indicator is designed to analyze an instrument’s volatility based on daily extremes (High-Low) and to compare the current day’s range with the typical (median) range over a selected period. This helps traders assess how much of the "usual" daily movement has already occurred and how much may still be possible during the trading day.
ADR & ATR OverlayADR & ATR Overlay
This indicator will display the following as an overlay on your chart:
ADR
% of ADR
ADR % of Price
ATR
% of ATR
ATR % of Price
Description:
ADR : Average Day Range
% of ADR : Percentage that the current price move has covered its average.
ADR % of Price : The percentage move implied by the average range.
ATR : Average True Range
% of ATR : Percentage that the current price move has covered its average.
ATR % of Price : The percentage move implied by the average true range.
Options:
Time Frame
Length
Smoothing
Enable or Disable each value
Text Color
Background Color
How to use this indicator:
The ADR and ATR can be used to provide information about average price moves to help set targets, stop losses, entries and exits based on the potential average moves.
Example: If the "% of ADR" is reading 100%, then 100% of the asset's average price range has been covered, suggesting that an additional move beyond the range has a lower probability.
Example: "ADR % of Price" provides potential price movement in percentage which can be used to asses R/R for asset.
Example: ADR (D) reading is 100% at market close but ATR (D) is at 70% at close. This suggests that there is a potential move of 30% in Pre/Post market as suggested by averages.
Notes:
These indicators are available as oscillators to place under your chart through trading view but this indicator will place them on the chart in numerical only format.

Compression Patterns (w/ Trend + Proximity Filter)🧠 Description:
This indicator identifies high-probability price compression patterns within trending environments — a setup prized by experienced swing and day traders alike. It combines the classic NR4, NR7, 2-Bar NR, 3-Bar NR, and Inside Day formations with a powerful trend filter and proximity logic to deliver clear, focused signals.
🔍 What's Inside:
▪️ Compression Patterns
The core of this tool lies in the logic of price compression. These patterns signal the market taking a breath — volatility contracts, volume dries up, and price coils like a spring.
When this happens in the right context, the next move is often explosive.
NR4 / NR7: Narrowest range in 4 or 7 bars — excellent for spotting the quiet before the storm.
2-Bar NR / 3-Bar NR: These identify the tightest consecutive 2 or 3-day ranges over the past 20 days — contextually rare and powerful.
Inside Day: A simple but highly effective consolidation pattern, especially when it clusters around key moving averages.
▪️ Trend Filter (EMA Stack)
You could say this is where most indicators fall apart — no context.
This one doesn’t make that mistake.
Signals only fire when the 10 EMA > 20 EMA > 50 EMA, and price is above the 20 EMA. That’s a strong, established uptrend — the only environment where breakouts are statistically favourable.
Why?
Because trend following works.
It may not give you fixed daily returns, but it’s the only strategy with theoretically infinite profit potential. You risk little, trade less, and position yourself for rare but massive moves. That’s the edge.
▪️ Proximity Filter (1 ATR to EMA)
We’ve added another layer of discipline. Signals only fire when price is:
Within 1 ATR of the 10 EMA (if price is above it), or
Within 1 ATR of the 20 EMA (if price is below the 10 EMA)
This ensures you’re not chasing. You’re waiting for tight, controlled pullbacks into dynamic support — exactly where institutions add size, not exit.
⚙️ Fully Customisable:
Toggle visibility of each pattern
Custom colours and transparency for label & background
Adjustable ATR length and multiplier
Change label text if needed (useful for translations or tweaks)
🎯 Ideal Use Case:
Swing trading off the daily chart
Day trading with VWAP/MACD filters (in alternate versions)
Supplementing price action strategies
🔚 Final Word:
This isn’t an “everything scanner.”
It’s a discerning sniper scope for traders who wait patiently for clean trends, tight consolidations, and perfect proximity — then strike.

How to Use:
Add the "Improved Grid Level Visualizer" indicator to your chart.
Set Bounds: Adjust the Upper Price Bound and Lower Price Bound lines by clicking and dragging them on the chart, or set precise values in the indicator settings.
Set Levels: Define the Number of Grid Levels you need in the settings.
Set Start Time: Use the Grid Start Time input to control when the grid visualization begins.
Customize: Configure colors, line styles, label visibility, etc., in the settings panel.
Set Alerts (Optional): Follow the steps below.
Notes:
The grid levels are calculated purely based on the mathematical division of the specified price range. They do not automatically adapt to market structure unless you manually adjust the bounds.
When changing the Grid Start Time after the indicator has been running, you might need to refresh the chart or remove/re-add the indicator for the visual starting point to update correctly.
ICT IPDA Lookback / Cast-forwardThis script automatically displays 20/40/60 daily range highs and lows.
Known as IPDA ranges, a term popularised by Inner Circle Trader (ICT). IPDA = Interbank Price Delivery Algorithm.
You can also add 80 day lines (my own addition) . IPDA labels are shown for Daily highs, and an equivalent line is drawn at IPDA Daily lows - but without the label to keep your chart as clean as possible. You can use this on hourly timeframes as well.
ICT is "flexible" on IPDA data ranges in his mentorship regarding whether you should use the first day of each month, or go recalculate day by day, and that's why this script lets you do both + also has an option to set a hard specified date - useful for more advanced purposes.
You can also Cast-forward the displayed 20/40/60 (+80) IPDA ranges with this tool.
You can use IPDA ranges to forecast Highs and Lows that price will be attracted to on a Daily timeframe and where price is in its P/D range, being in a discount or premium. You can also use this knowledge to help guide lower timeframe scalps.
Longer term traders can reference the 40 and 60 Day Look Back lines for an indication of current market conditions.
Smart % Levels📈 Smart % Levels – Visualize Significant Percentage Moves
What it does:
This indicator plots horizontal levels based on a percentage change from the previous day's close (or open, if selected). It allows traders to visualize price movements relative to meaningful thresholds like ±1%, ±2%, etc.
What makes it different:
Unlike other level indicators, Smart % Levels only displays the relevant levels based on current price action. This avoids clutter by showing only the levels that are being approached or crossed by the current price. It's a clean and dynamic way to visualize key price zones for intraday analysis.
How it works:
- Select between using the previous day's Close or Open as the reference
- Choose the percentage spacing between levels (e.g., 1%, 0.5%, etc.)
- Enable optional labels to see the exact percentage of each level
- Automatically filters levels to only show those between yesterday's price and today's current price
- Includes customization for colors, line styles, widths, and opacity
Best for:
Day traders and scalpers who want a quick, clean view of how far the current price has moved from yesterday’s reference, without being overwhelmed by unnecessary lines.
Extra notes:
- The levels are recalculated each day at the market open
- All graphics reset at the start of each session to maintain clarity
- This script avoids repainting by only plotting levels relative to available historical data (no lookahead)
This tool is for informational purposes only and should not be considered as financial advice. Always do your own research before making trading decisions.

Son Model ICT [TradingFinder] HTF DOL H1 + Sweep M15 + FVG M1🔵 Introduction
The ICT Son Model setup is a precise trading strategy based on market structure and liquidity, implemented across multiple timeframes. This setup first identifies a liquidity level in the 1-hour (1H) timeframe and then confirms a Market Structure Shift (MSS) in the 5-minute (5M) timeframe to validate the trend. After confirmation, the price forms a new swing in the 5-minute timeframe, absorbing liquidity.
Once this level is broken, traders typically drop to the 30-second (30s) timeframe and enter trades based on a Fair Value Gap (FVG). However, since access to the 30-second timeframe is not available to most traders, we take the entry signal directly from the 5-minute timeframe, using the same liquidity zones and confirmed breakouts to execute trades. This approach simplifies execution and makes the strategy accessible to all traders.
This model operates in two setups :
Bullish ICT Son Model and Bearish ICT Son Model. In the bullish setup, liquidity is first accumulated at the lows of the 1-hour timeframe, and after confirming a market structure shift, a long position is initiated. Conversely, in the bearish setup, liquidity is first drawn from higher levels, and upon confirmation of a bearish trend, a short position is executed.
Bullish Setup :
Bearish Setup :
🔵 How to Use
The ICT Son Model setup is designed around liquidity analysis and market structure shifts and can be applied in both bullish and bearish market conditions. The strategy first identifies a liquidity level in the 1-hour (1H) timeframe and then confirms a Market Structure Shift (MSS) in the 5-minute (5M) timeframe.
After this shift, the price forms a new swing, absorbing liquidity. When this level is broken in the 5-minute timeframe, the trader enters based on a Fair Value Gap (FVG). While the ideal entry is in the 30-second (30s) timeframe, due to accessibility constraints, we take entry signals directly from the 5-minute timeframe.
🟣 Bullish Setup
In the Bullish ICT Son Model, the 1-hour timeframe first identifies liquidity at the market lows, where price sweeps this level to absorb liquidity. Then, in the 5-minute timeframe, an MSS confirms the bullish shift.
After confirmation, the price forms a new swing, absorbing liquidity at a higher level. The price then retraces into a Fair Value Gap (FVG) created in the 5-minute timeframe, where the trader enters a long position, placing the stop-loss below the FVG.
🟣 Bearish Setup
In the Bearish ICT Son Model, liquidity at higher market levels is identified in the 1-hour timeframe, where price sweeps these levels to absorb liquidity. Then, in the 5-minute timeframe, an MSS confirms the bearish trend.
After confirmation, the price forms a new swing, absorbing liquidity at a lower level. The price then retraces into a Fair Value Gap (FVG) created in the 5-minute timeframe, where the trader enters a short position, placing the stop-loss above the FVG.
🔵 Settings
Swing period : You can set the swing detection period.
Max Swing Back Method : It is in two modes "All" and "Custom". If it is in "All" mode, it will check all swings, and if it is in "Custom" mode, it will check the swings to the extent you determine.
Max Swing Back : You can set the number of swings that will go back for checking.
FVG Length : Default is 120 Bar.
MSS Length : Default is 80 Bar.
FVG Filter : This refines the number of identified FVG areas based on a specified algorithm to focus on higher quality signals and reduce noise.
Types of FVG filters :
Very Aggressive Filter: Adds a condition where, for an upward FVG, the last candle's highest price must exceed the middle candle's highest price, and for a downward FVG, the last candle's lowest price must be lower than the middle candle's lowest price. This minimally filters out FVGs.
Aggressive Filter: Builds on the Very Aggressive mode by ensuring the middle candle is not too small, filtering out more FVGs.
Defensive Filter: Adds criteria regarding the size and structure of the middle candle, requiring it to have a substantial body and specific polarity conditions, filtering out a significant number of FVGs.
Very Defensive Filter: Further refines filtering by ensuring the first and third candles are not small-bodied doji candles, retaining only the highest quality signals.
🔵 Conclusion
The ICT Son Model setup is a structured and precise method for trade execution based on liquidity analysis and market structure shifts. This strategy first identifies a liquidity level in the 1-hour timeframe and then confirms a trend shift using the 5-minute timeframe.
Trade entries are executed based on Fair Value Gaps (FVGs), which highlight optimal entry points. By applying this model, traders can leverage existing market liquidity to enter high-probability trades. The bullish setup activates when liquidity is swept from market lows and a market structure shift confirms an upward trend, whereas the bearish setup is used when liquidity is drawn from market highs, confirming a downtrend.
This approach enables traders to identify high-probability trade setups with greater precision compared to many other strategies. Additionally, since access to the 30-second timeframe is limited, the strategy remains fully functional in the 5-minute timeframe, making it more practical and accessible for a wider range of traders.
Zerg range filter credit to Kivanc turkish pinecoder for base indicator i reworked with chatgpt and some common sense
this indicator similar to the ADX but i think its better visually to keep you out of market conditions that are unfavorable.
i made original indicator to work in a 0-100 enviroment (before it was a zero middle line oscillator) and added background coloring that has a lower and higher threshold setting. i also added a smoothing moving average. this will trigger threshold levels (not the core oscillator)
above higher level would indicate trending market conditions and its purple. these are the areas where you might want to buy low period moving average bounces like 10 or 21 ema
lower band will paint indicator background blue and its cold, meaning range bound trade ideas are likely play out better. selling resistance and buying horizontal supports for example.
you are encourage to play with lookback period and change thresholds until you find something that works for your trading.
on the picture above it illustrates how i intended its usage.
it also shows divergences which was not intended but also a function.
you can also observe as the oscillator likes to coil up into a tight range (horizontal or a wedge formation) and when these break their trendlines explosive moves are incoming usually.
if you have a trading system and can generate a lot of signals but want to filter out some loser trades this could be the indicator you were looking for.
i hope this will be inline with community guidelines. my other publishing got removed unfortunately
