The FTSE 100 Index Opens 0.63% Higher

In London, the FTSE 100 Index is picking up 60 points or 0.63 percent on Thursday.

Gains are led by Halma (9.84%), Melrose (2.34%) and Rolls-Royce (2.25%).

Biggest losers are Fresnillo (-1.58%), Vodafone (-1.39%) and Diageo (-0.82%).
