AMD Stock Plunges as New AI CPU Benchmarks Leak Online

น้อยกว่า 1 นาทีในการอ่าน

Advanced Micro Devices AMD shares fell about 3% on Friday afternoon after fresh benchmark results for several upcoming AI-focused laptop processors surfaced online.

Listings on CrossMark, a public performance-testing platform, showed two unannounced chips, the Ryzen AI 9 465 and Ryzen AI 7 450. The entries suggest the processors feature 10 and eight cores, respectively, with integrated Radeon 800-series graphics. Market watchers say the specifications point to a possible refresh of AMD's current Strix Point range.

More benchmark activity appeared earlier in the week, when the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 was spotted on SiSoftware Sandra. That chip includes 12 cores and a Radeon 890M graphics unit and is viewed as a potential flagship for the next laptop lineup.

AMD has not provided timing for the release, though analysts expect any commercial rollout may come in 2026. Hardware leaks often appear months ahead of launch as developers test performance.

AMD stock was down more than 4% in Friday trading. Volume remained unusually light, with fewer than 500,000 shares changing hands versus a three-month average above 64 million.
