Combination of technical analysis and fundamental analysis helps to understand the peaks and troughs within price trends. The example of the UK election is very obvious but clearly show the strong effect of fundamentals. Another good example is Texas oil price hike back to $60+ in light of the recent announcement that OPEC will be restricting oil production going into 2020. Another major one to watch is the US-Sino trade war which is effecting most markets in some way.
