If you want to dabble in an agriculture stock and have challenges identifying the specific company to invest, an ETF maybe a good option to consider.
Take for example, DBA where it holds a variety of different agricultural products so that you have exposure in all of them without buying into individual companies.
DBA was at its peak at around 44 dollars in Feb 2008 and for the next 12 years, it has been heading south. We are now near to the bottom , support at 13.15 and if the price breaks out of the bearish trend line , around 13.59 to 14.00, I would consider taking a long position.
The Covid-19 has caused much havoc into the global supply chain and food security in every countries is one issue that keep the politicians and government officials awake at night. The producers , more than before will have an advantage in the prices and adverse climate condition that affects the crop yields will only exacerbate the demand and supply issue.
