USDT is back by nothing, they are opaq and they have increase about 200 times or more the supply of tether… don’t be fool by their marketing.

People are just confuse like you by the name (USDT) and think it’s like if you have converted your crypto against some FIAT, but it’s not ! With Tether you have THE WORST of both worlds (crypto and fiat).
Eventually, you could be in a better position (in case of crypto crash) only with an exchange like Coinbase/Gdax that propose real USD/EUR/GDB in exchange.
