Reason for placing the trade: price was in a downtrend and had been respecting the resistance line. we got a nice rejection and then a pull back to the line so i was tempted to go in short

Why i think the trade failed: I didn't wait for confirmation that price was going to move to the downside, I should have waited for a candle to close with some momentum. I also placed the trade before some high impact news came out what caused the trade to go against me! losses are losses move on and learn from them
