As predicted the impact of the futures was limited to non-existent. I noted a decline in the Japanese and Korean exchanges I follow before the other exchanges followed suit, approximately hours ago. While this could be due to the futures expiry, it may also be a knock-on effect due to a reported theft of XRP ($123m) and XEM ($600m) from the Japanese exchange Coincheck (loss amounts unconfirmed).
For BTC, the last peak broke again through the previous upper resistance line forming a new resistance line. Price movement is conforming well to the pitchfork fib lines. MACD is upturned and looking for the cross, however EMAs are still a little way off a firm buy signal. There is some bearish hidden divergence on the RSI and MACD which may (or may not) have already played out. Bollinger bands have started to squeeze inside the Keltner Channel looking for the next breakout.
