Open Interest is at historically high levels and Historical Volatility Percentile (HVP) is at historically low levels. In the past, this has been a recipe for "face melting" moves. Will this move take us to 8.5K CME gap or bounce and shove a super sized green dildo down our throats like happened previously?
Notice in the October 22nd, 2019 move how Historical Volatility Percentile was at historically low levels for about 8 days. Then, price broke down through the downside support pivot . That day, HPV jumped up and almost touched the exponential. The very next day, the entire breakdown was reversed and we saw an incredible 40% pump from the prior day's close, breaking through the prior range high pivot . Our 2D RSI was exhibiting Bullish Divergence prior to the pump up.
This time, HVP was at historically low levels for 8 days. Now, after a move down, breaking the range low pivot , we have seen HPV jump up towards the exponential and Open Interest is still at historic levels. 2D RSI is exhibiting Bullish Divergence . Where to from here: 8K or 11.5K?
Time will tell! Get your popcorn out and have your stops set tight!
