Volume anomalies are particularly useful to look at specially during local tops after a rally. This chart is outlining a few but if you keep going through the past, these anomalies will come up regularly.

It is also good to look at the BLX ticker since it encapsulates volume from several important spot exchanges.

Use volume anomalies, often deviations around 20-30% pts from its Moving Average, to identify significant weakness on current trend or consolidation after a trend.
