The Russian government is preparing a plan to support Aeroflot through the repurchase of new shares in the company. One of the agency’s interlocutors said that Aeroflot plans to issue new shares in the amount of ₽80 billion. Of these, the state can buy a stake in ₽50 billion, and the remaining amount will be acquired in equal proportions by VTB Bank and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
According to unofficial data, authorities are considering the possibility of capitalizing Aeroflot through an additional issue of its shares for 80 billion rubles.
