ðĨ 550 MILLION XRP MOVED BY WHALES!! ðĨ
ðĨAlright so basically the link to this article is gonna be linked below as always but basically yesterday Whales we're noticed transferring nearly 600 million XRP, with two of the transfers consisting of 150 million XRP alone as posted by Whale Alert!
ðĨOne of these was done by the Ripple fintech while it moved crypto to it's early ODL platform. If you're not sure what the Ripple ODL is here's a quick description:
"The XRP token itself acts as a bridge between two fiat currencies, ultimately settling payments in local currency at the payment destination. Transactions are confirmed within a matter of seconds. Ripple has been gradually opening up ODL payment corridors between various regions."
ðĨBack to the transactions! Whale Alert caught about seven large transfers of which 524.9 million XRP tokens we're moved! The first two consisted of 150,000,000 XRP each with one of these transactions being sent from the Bithumb exchange with the same amount later being sent to an anonymous wallet. The article notes this could be a sell intention or Bithumb moving crypto between it's own wallets.
ðĨRipple also moved 30,000,000 XRP to the Bitso exchange which is based in Mexico and is the largest crypto trading venue in Latin America. It is also an ODL partner of Ripple. The transfer was made from Ripple's RL18-VN wallet.
ðĨBitso, recently decided to set up a remittance corridor between Mexico and Canada. To achieve that goal, the exchange formed a partnership with African-Canadian payment system Africhange, which is focused on remittances between Africa and Canada. As of late, the number of Mexicans moving to Canada to work has increased. The amount of cash sent by them from Canada home exceeds $140 million. This new partnership should help Mexicans to reduce costs while sending remittances to their families back home and proves to us just another real life use of XRP's functionality and how it'll soon be changing the world as we know it.
