Price is now in a pullback and today's candle shows rejection/buying pressure, signaling (potentialy) further movement to the upside.
Looking on EURUSD one can see that this pair is probably starting a downmove which makes a buy on USDCAD a plausible option but still countertrend.´. Good luck
