Go Long as the fastMA crosses above the slowMA (All Green Fill) Go Short as the fastMA crosses below and other MA (Red)
Prep for next movement when the fill colours are mixed together. Back this up with volume and momentum indicators.
I'm currently working on turning this into a strategy. Please let me know what you think, as this is my first indicator.

In this update I added more ways for you to be able to customize the indicator.
You can now use the settings dialog to: * Set the source of data to use (close, open, high, low, volume, etc) * Change the MA type [SMA, EMA, None (Removes the MA) ]
I also added a very slow (200 period) MA, which is disabled by default, but might be useful at times.

Hi @GordonR I love this indicator. Thank you for sharing. I wonder if you could update it so that there's an option to disable / hide all of the previous / historic "Long" & "Short" labels. It clutters the chart on smaller timeframes, especially when you have other items on the chart. Would be ideal to have an option to have it just show the latest / current signal on the chart instead of all of the historic signals. Thanks again. I love this indicator.

@GordonR, Try to include the 200 SMA line as shown in the indicator (MACD + SMA 200 Strategy (by ChartArt)), as it'll give more clarity on price trends, please refer to the image URL

Good stuff, do you use this on any intervals other than the hourly?

@forkknife777, It really depends on the volume. I use it on pretty much any time-frame that has enough data to form normal candles, without big gaps. So as a guide I'd use it on 5 minute charts and up. It'll work on any security/stock/currency to give to an overall picture of the market.
