Hi when you say H1 is that is you are looking at the 1hr timeframe? And if yes if I wanted to go lower o. Need to double or divide the settings ?
inno14
@timthegoat1, That's right, H1 is 1 Hour Time Frame. If you go to another time frame, you have to backtest to find a new parameter that fits the context there.
timthegoat1
@inno14, sorry for the many questions. how do the values affect the time frames from your experience just so i have a starting point. smaller time frames smaller numbers? and do i leave the ob at 80 also the multiplier remains same or changes?
inno14
@timthegoat1, According to my experience, overbought and oversold of %b for all parameter is 80-20. The suitable parameter for each time frame is the overbought zone is plotted above zero line of AO and the oversold zone is plotted below zero line.
timthegoat1
@inno14, what about for length if you start going up say 4hour do the numbers go up or less (the default for 1hour is 25 75)
inno14
@timthegoat1, you have to backtest to find a new parameter that fits the context at H4
timthegoat1
@inno14, i plan to backtest it just wanted an idea as to if going higher with numbers is the right way ahead of the backtest or smaller numbers would be the direction. higher timeframe should be looking for higher values and lower timeframe smaller values
inno14
@timthegoat1, you can start with default parameter of AO is 5,34 for new Timeframe. Or, you can add indicator plot SMA of Mean Price (HL2 ~ (High+Low)/2) and choose a pair of period (fast, slow) which show the wave of trend clearly.

This is wizardry! Thanks for sharing.
Any idea for 4hrs and Daily settings?

I think there may be a bug in the code somewhere, if you look at today 31St May 17:00 EST on BTC ( Coinbase ) or any other source, there is a sell order pending with sell price of 29k ( roughly rounded ) way below the market price (31k rounded )
