We've been looking at the extreme complacency that traders have as shown by the VIX. Interesting ratios that seem to be turning points... will these ratios hold into the future? Interesting for sure.
Please take a moment to look at all the information shown here. Notice what happened last year in the Jan -Feb 2018 sell off. See that spike high?
Compare that Feb 2018 high reading in VIX with the recent sell off in Dec 2018. Notice that the traders didn't have as much fear?... yet the market dropped even lower!
Will we soon see the VIX spike up again? surprise pullback coming soon?
Hmmm... then another VIX pullback to just explode higher?
Interesting thoughts show an unusual confluence at the upper top right hand corner of the chart.... something gonna really spike the market into the 1.618 and 2.618 ratios maybe the 2020 US elections?
