I think there will be market manipulation in order to reduce the US debt levels. With the assumption that the Gov fed knows the weakness of their economy, and the effect of tapering on the market, doesn't it make sense to reduce the tapering but to pump the economy up with positive results so that the market goes higher, while the fed bets against it. Market goes higher and then crashes on release of bad news, US reduces debt levels. rinse and repeat.
