This could very well be a bull trap of just the natural market resistance to a bearish trend... Bitcoin will have to settle lower than present to be able to go further high. There is a huge appetite for bitcoin to very high and it cannot sustain the recent trajectory. I bet it will go lower and test all major support before trying a new takeoff from 10k to 100k this time.

@balaupre, yes i agree. There is the looming issue of the TETHER case lurking around the corner also so investors are probably pulling out before this occurs
